Here’s the playbook that foundit used

Challenge

foundit discovered that many candidate profiles were either incomplete or hadn’t been updated in a long time on their portal. As a result, foundit’s database had outdated information, and candidates were being matched with jobs that no longer suited their skills or experience.

This incomplete data about the candidate pool led to the following problems -

✅ Since candidates didn't update their profiles with new skills, experiences, and new job roles, they ended up receiving irrelevant job offers.

✅ Similarly, recruiters were wasting time reaching out to people who either didn’t have the right skills or wouldn’t be interested in the offer.

foundit realized that the only solution for these problems was to get candidates to update their profiles.

But how?

That was the challenge to be tackled.

Solution

As foundit’s team dug deeper, they found that there were two types of candidates who left their profiles incomplete

✅Those who dropped off in the middle of the onboarding process
✅Those who wouldn’t update their profile with new skills and experiences after signing up

To fix this, foundit did the following

✅Trigger emails as soon as they dropped off during the onboarding and remind them to complete their profile,
✅ And send reminder emails at appropriate time intervals to encourage timely updation.

However, most users either didn't visit the portal to update their profiles after opening these emails or would still miss out on certain fields.

Soon, the team realized while these emails acted as reminders, the candidates still had to go through the hassle of moving out of the inbox, finding relevant fields, and then updating their profiles.

They needed a process that would shorten this process and simplify profile updation.

That's when they explored interactive emails and its possibilities.

With interactive emails, foundit could embed forms directly into emails, enabling users to update their information without leaving their inboxes.
