Email Surveys: The Failing State |
|
When it comes to surveys, emails are one of the most preferred channels for conducting feedback and review surveys, market research, pulse surveys, and many others. Yet, the average response rate from email surveys is only 20% and sometimes even lower. 🤔 Here are few possible reasons for this: - Extensive process: Respondents open the email, read it, click on the link, land on another page which is a third party created form (Google Forms, Survey Monkeys)
- Additional steps and redirect: Once they land upon the Google Form, they need to sign in using their email id.
💡 Here are a few quick tips to improve the response rate for email surveys: - Tell them what's in it for them. Mention the incentives in the subject line. Or you can even disguise the survey as a quiz.
- Keep it short and let them know how much time it will take for the survey.
- Segment your customer list, and ask the right questions to the right audience.
- Optimize your survey form for the mobile screen. Preview it for responsiveness before you hit the send button.
- Create the survey inside the email using AMP Email with Mailmodo.
